Kapa Haka @ the Turangunui Festival

Kaiya and Eden's Mum, Saran took these videos of our Year 2/3 group at the Kapa Haka Festival. THANKS, SARAN! They are great.
We'll be sharing some of our waiata at the School Break-up Assemly and have been practising on the new hall steps. You'll get a much better view of everyone! :)

Look at our amazing beans!
It's not long until Dinglebean reaches the ceiling! Hurry up Fred!

OUR BEAN GROWING COMPETITION

In groups we played a game. We had to talk about our Bean Growing Competition, but could only say one word each. It was harder than we thought it would be. Watch the videos and then try this game at home.
PS....Aaron and I are sure FRED will win the conpetition. He's given Dinglebean a wee headstart but he'll be overtaking soon.

Here Comes the Bride!

Sorry, I was holding my camera the wrong way so you'll have to view this sideways. It's worth it, the brides are gorgeous! :) Congratulations to the design teams, you all did very well.

Wedding Dresses

Woops, I meant to put these pictures on our blog ages ago. At the end of last term we had a Technology Challenge. Kids had to design and make a wedding dress in 30minutes using just one roll of toilet paper. It was interesting and definitely required alot of cooperation. Check out the stunning brides.

AN EXCITING AFTERNOON

We had a fantastic afternoon with Grant Bramwell and Sarah Ulmer. It was great to hear them talking about their Olympic Games experiences and they gave us good advice about making our dreams come true. We all got to hold the gold medals and some of us had a photo with Sarah's medal from the Athen's Olympic Games.

Look at us with Sarah Ulmer! :)
