CELEBRATING SUCCESS!

What a lot of champions we had in Room 20 last week. Kendra, Alani, Kalea and Ivy all got placings for their art at the AMP show, Stevi won 2 cups for trampolining and Zach won another medal at a National golf competition in Auckland! YAHHOOOOOOO terrific Room 20-ites! :)

Today we are going to do some imaginative writing. We'll pretend that we are astronauts up in space. Watch these clips of real astronauts!

Wonderful Waffles?

We tested a couple of recipes today and YES, I think we all agreed...they were wickedly, wonderful waffles! YUM! I've got a feeling we'll be rushed off our feet at the GALA.

"Who wants a wickedly, wonderful waffle?" whispered Peter.

Room 20's Got Talent!

Introducing Connor...our very own HIP HOP star. 

Connor and his hip hop crew won a competition in Hastings in the weekend. Today we were very lucky, he shared the dance with us! Connor, you are THE BEST! :) We loved your amazing dancing and the groovy music was cool too! Maybe you'll be on NZ's Got Talent one day soon.

Our new iPads!

We worked in a group to share some of our learning about fractions on the iPads. We can even record our voices and our amazing thinking! We are very excited to have an iPad that lives in our classroom now! It's awesome. :)

On Friday we had a special assembly to farewell Mr Hunter. He has been the principal at Mangapapa School for 18 years!
We hope he enjoys his retirement and has a fantastic time on his big overseas trip!
