The Magic e

We have been learning about the "magic e" in Word Work. The magic e makes the vowel say it's name. Enjoy the song. You might get a few words from here to help with your homework!

Interesting things happening...

The All Sorts reading group shared a funny play with us.
They had amazing expression.
In this photo they are gobbling up a pie.

Jasmine introduced us to her awesome basketball playing Dad! They showed us
how to do some different passes.
Danni shared her family tree with us. She's related to King Henry the 8th!
We loved the old photos of her relatives.

Jake the Peg!

Peter brought this funny Rolf Harris song to school to share with us. We love it! Try singing it at home. :)

Moa Maths

Zach found out that a giant female Moa bird weighed 235kgs.
We weighed some people in our class to find out how much that was!

Caitlyn, Eden, Rioss, Kalea, Kendra, Zach, Stevi, Sam and Josiah weighed 231kg althogether!
JUST LESS than a giant female moa bird.

We found out that a giant femal moa bird can be 1.9m tall.
That's the same as Alani when she's on the ladder.

When a giant female moa bird stretches its neck out to reach for food it can reach up to 3m!
Josiah would have to put his head through the ceiling to get to 3m.

It's Magic!

Today I left the groups I was working with and took a few photos to show you all the learning that was happening without me! Room 20...you are magic! It's Magic! on PhotoPeach

Rioss's Awesome Writing

Sunflower

I planted a seed when I was 5. I watered and watered and watered until....WOO! The sunflower shot up into the sky. It was the beautifulist thing I'd seen in my whole entire life. It was so giant I couldn't cut it off. I asked my Dad if he could cut it off with a chainsaw.
