A scientific challenge!

Today we had to see if we could move a straw up a string. We had a straw, a piece of string, a balloon and a piece of string. We also had our brains, our ideas about air and flight and some pretty amazing cooperation skills! We had heaps of fun too.

Colour MIXING.

We only used the primary colours...red, yellow, blue and a bit of white. Peter made orange! 

Keegan's made some beautiful shades of blue and green.

Sadie's got some pretty pink in the middle of her colour burst! 

Sam looks like he's made every colour in the rainbow! 

I can see some brown and purple, Caitlyn. How did you make that? 

Wow...amazing colours! 

That turquiose in the middle of Kiana's is cool!

We can all email! We all have a new school email address and today we have all sent someone in our class an email. Some people emailed their Mum or Dad and got an instant reply!!! It was VERY exciting and GREAT writing practise too! :)

Cinquains.

Ruby, Danni, Zach and Ivy shared their Helicopter Cinquain with us....we thought it was pretty amazing after only 5 minutes to get their presentation ready! 

An action packed week!

It was all go last week with the rescue helicopter at school, a visit from some firemen and of course some amazing reading, writing and maths too.

Today we launched our FLIGHT Inquiry Unit with an exciting visit from the rescue helicopter. 

We watched the helicopter hover and land and then we were lucky enough to get to talk to Neil (the pilot) before he was called away to a real rescue!
